Hole #1 - Outward Bound
- Par: 4
- Men's Handicap: 9
- Women's Handicap: 5
Hole Description
An extremely fair starting hole but quite narrow. Out of bounds left encourages favoring the right but the fairway slopes left to right, trees and bunkers guard the right. Driver, 3 wood or Driving iron off the tee will leave mid-to-short iron second shot to long, narrow, two-tiered green. Green is well bunkered and very fast back to front.
Hole #2 - The Dip
- Par: 4
- Men's Handicap: 3
- Women's Handicap: 3
Hole Description
Tee shot must pass through tunnel of trees and a hook is almost imperative. Fairway slopes hard left to right towards thick woods. Second shot requires a mid-to-long iron to a generous green with a large bunker guarding the right side.
Hole #3 - Shelf
- Par: 4
- Men's Handicap: 13
- Women's Handicap: 15
Hole Description
Tee shot needs to favor the left side. Second shot finds an elevated green protected in the front by a deep gully, with woods to the rear and bunker to the right.
Hole #4 - Carry On
- Par: 3
- Men's Handicap: 15
- Women's Handicap: 7
Hole Description
Spectacular par 3 with an elevated tee shot. The green is ample, well bunkered left and fairly flat. Miss it left, right or long and it will make for a very difficult up and down. The first of five-challenging par 3s.
Hole #5 - Marathon
- Par: 5
- Men's Handicap: 1
- Women's Handicap: 1
Hole Description
The longest of the part 5s requires a tee shot positioning in the left center of the wide fairway. A wood or long iron second shot should favor the right center, thus leaving a short iron to an ample, rolling green.
Hole #6 - The Wedge
- Par: 4
- Men's Handicap: 11
- Women's Handicap: 9
Hole Description
A dogleg right with water on the right. A 3-wood or Driving iron off the tee ideally would favor the left side, leaving a good view of a beautiful green set back into a pocket of trees. Second shot will be a mid-iron to a relatively flat green.
Hole #7 - Seventh Heaven
- Par: 4
- Men's Handicap: 7
- Women's Handicap: 11
Hole Description
An elevated tee affords a good look at the hole and the surrounding valley. This is a difficult fairway to hit. Drive needs to favor the left center as the hold slopes hard left to right. Second shot, uphill and blind, will be anything from a wood to a middle iron, depending on conditions. The green is large and flat with subtle breaks.
Hole #8 - Cemetery Ridge
- Par: 3
- Men's Handicap: 17
- Women's Handicap: 17
Hole Description
The elevated tee affords a spectacular view. An 8,9 or PW to a fairly small and severely sloped green. Missing left or long makes for a difficult up and down.
Hole #9 - The Take Off
- Par: 4
- Men's Handicap: 5
- Women's Handicap: 13
Hole Description
A spectacular hole played from a very elevated tee, across a ravine and a valley to another flat tier. Anything short of the top leaves a blind second shot to a green carved into trees and bunkered left and right. The green is long and undulating and seldom offers a straight putt.
Hole #10 - Slippery Hollow
- Par: 4
- Men's Handicap: 12
- Women's Handicap: 12
Hole Description
A driver, 3-wood or Driving iron played favoring the left side will run down to a level lie from which a 9-iron or wedge is left. The second shot is deceiving, as it plays strongly downhill. The green is ample size but well bunkered.
Hole #11 - Lucky Strike
- Par: 3
- Men's Handicap: 16
- Women's Handicap: 18
Hole Description
The green slightly elevated and extremely well bunkered but is a very ample target. A solid shot sets-up a birdie opportunity, as the green is probably the flattest on the course.
Hole #12 - The Valle
- Par: 5
- Men's Handicap: 4
- Women's Handicap: 6
Hole Description
From an elevated tee you are looking at a long, narrow fairway that swings, gradually left. Following a good drive, the second shot is a long or middle-iron to an extremely long and narrow green with a ridge running through the center.
Hole #13 - Swift Run
- Par: 4
- Men's Handicap: 10
- Women's Handicap: 8
Hole Description
A par 4 that bends slightly left with a wide creek on the left and trees and a bunker to the right. The driving area is ample, and while the green is open in front it is well-bunkered right and left.
Hole #14 - The Mews
- Par: 4
- Men's Handicap: 8
- Women's Handicap: 10
Hole Description
The fourteenth is a long, straightaway hole and one of the very few that plays slightly uphill. The fairway narrows considerably in the driving area with trees both right and left. The mid-iron second must carry over bunkers to a very difficult green with a large mound in the middle
Hole #15 - Vanity Fair
- Par: 3
- Men's Handicap: 14
- Women's Handicap: 14
Hole Description
The tee shot with a wood or long-iron plays out of a tunnel of evergreens to a green that allows a run-up shot. The right side of the green is guarded by an overhanging tree and there are bunkers both left and right. The long green is tiered on the right side and can be difficult to putt.
Hole #16 - the Hemlocks
- Par: 5
- Men's Handicap: 2
- Women's Handicap: 2
Hole Description
The long hitter may be able to get home in two. But most players will be hitting a medium-iron second shot to a well-defined lay-up area. Assuming two well-played shots, the third is a relatively simple wedge to a green that is large but normally very firm. It is also fronted by a lake, which loves golf balls.
Hole #17 - Cress Lakes
- Par: 5
- Men's Handicap: 6
- Women's Handicap: 4
Hole Description
The hole doglegs sharply left at about 240 yards and is flanked by a well treed mountain left and a creek right. The second shot can be played safe, either short or left of a small pond that covers the right front of the green.
Hole #18 - Taps
- Par: 3
- Men's Handicap: 18
- Women's Handicap: 16
Hole Description
Another beautiful par-3 hole from an elevated tee. The extremely difficult green is large in the back but narrow in the front. Deep bunkers left and right will provide a difficult up and down. The green is steep from back to front and putting is difficult.
