Golf at the Homestead

The Resort offers some of the country's most challenging and historic golf courses. Ranked among the best in Virginia, our championship courses allow Members to perfect their golf game on manicured greens while basking in the serenity of the surrounding landscape. Take part in one of our many tournaments scheduled throughout the year that invite players of all levels to participate. We take pride when scheduling our events to include your family and friends who may be visiting with you to showcase one of our favorite pastimes of our Club, the game of golf.

Members and guests can practice their swing on a driving range before heading out to The Cascades or the Old Course. These championship courses have challenged Presidents William Howard Taft, Dwight D. Eisenhower, George H. W. Bush and Woodrow Wilson. Both offer short-game practice facilities and driving ranges. Set against Virginia’s spectacular Allegheny Mountains, The Cascades has a varied terrain that provides challenges for players of all levels. Home to the nation’s oldest first tee in continuous use, the Old Course has abundant fairway contouring, making approach shots interesting. We offer Callaway rental clubs as well as golf instruction and a Golf Pro Shop on-site.

The Cascades

Regarded as one of the finest mountain courses in the country, The Cascades offers challenging links set against a scenic backdrop. We invite Club Members to walk or ride the fairways of this legendary William Flynn course design that has seen the likes of Snead, Watkins, LaCoste, Zaharias and other champions while being home to a total of eight PGA events.
